Front Desk Receptionist Saginaw Psychology Services is a reputable, accredited and ethical Tri-City leader in mental health and SUD services. We utilize best practices in the industry and are diligent in maintaining high levels of trained personnel to provide optimal service delivery across many systems of mental health. We are experiencing growth in the business and would love to have you join our team! Saginaw Psychological Services Front Desk Staff are the first line of communication between a client/vendor, a therapist, and a doctor, whether it's on the phone or in person. They may answer questions or provide general information, or may direct a client to a person who can provide more direct and specific information.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Engages in and develops trusting relationships with all staff, vendors, or clients to enhance successful mental health/substance abuse outcomes Accurately record relevant client/vendor contacts and messages as well as communicates it with the staff it affects Completes work assignments accurately and thoroughly as well as working independently Attend all mandatory staff meetings, facility in-services and staff development activities as scheduled Immediately report critical issues and work with appropriate staff to develop an intervention plan Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of clients and employees record information as well as maintain SPSI's code of ethics Work to continually improve skills seeking training in areas where needs have been identified Abides by company rules and policy/procedure as well as helping with Mission, vision and values of SPSI Welcomes all incoming visitors and program participants, and routes them to the appropriate staff for services Receives incoming phone calls, screens them, take messages and/or forward to appropriate staff Maintains and updates lists of active participants and gives them initial and / or follow up appointments as needed Collect and process daily billing for all therapists and psychiatrists
REQUIREMENTS
Fluent/ basic knowledge in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other applications Knowledge of general office machines, telephone systems, fax machine, PDF operations, and other information systems Sensitivity to the needs of persons with disabilities, mental illness and SUD Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others Maintains a high degree of discretion when dealing with confidential information
SKILLS:
Self-motivated and the ability to handle unforeseen problems and when to reach out for support and supervision Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
EDUCATION
Post-secondary education
EXPERIENCE
3 years experience in reception; customer service or related field (preferred) Knowledge of Medical Terminology (preferred) Knowledge of medical records and/or billing (preferred)
