We are a small, patient-focused practice looking for someone who can provide exceptional customer service while supporting the day-to-day administrative operations of the office. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, compassionate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment. Previous dental office experience is required. Responsibilities Greet and warmly welcome patients upon arrival Check patients in and out and assist with front-desk procedures Answer incoming phone calls, return voicemails, and provide accurate general information Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments Maintain an organized and efficient appointment schedule Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information Collect copayments, balances, and other patient payments as needed Provide patients with information regarding appointments, office policies, and basic billing questions Assist with insurance-related administrative tasks, including verifying eligibility and benefits when applicable Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Process referrals, forms, and other necessary patient documentation Communicate effectively with dental providers, clinical staff, and patients Assist with treatment scheduling and follow-up as directed Monitor and respond to voicemails, emails, and other office communications Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area Assist with opening and closing front-desk duties as needed Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and office privacy policies Support the dental team with general administrative tasks and other duties as needed Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist with various office responsibilities Requirements At least 1 year of dental office or dental receptionist experience required Previous experience working in a clinical or healthcare setting Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills Professional, friendly, and positive attitude Professional appearance and demeanor Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a busy office Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work well independently and as part of a team Flexibility and willingness to assist wherever needed within the office High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications Spanish-speaking is preferred Experience dental software (Open Dental) Familiarity with dental insurance and basic dental terminology Previous experience with patient scheduling, check-in/check-out, and payment collection Schedule Monday through Friday 8-hour shift
