Job Description

Front Desk Receptionist (Part-Time) Please read carefully before applying. This position has firm scheduling and responsibility requirements. We are a well-established, high-volume family chiropractic clinic that has served our community for over 40 years. We are seeking a dependable, confident, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist who plays a vital role in patient experience and daily office flow. The front desk is the heartbeat of our office. This role requires warmth, accuracy, multitasking, and clear communication in a fast-paced environment. Schedule & Hours (Non-Negotiable Days)
Tuesday:
8:00 AM•6:00 PM (unpaid lunch 1:00-2:00 PM) — last patient at 5:30
PM Wednesday:
8:00 AM•6:30 PM (unpaid lunch 1:00-2:00 PM) — last patient at 6:00
PM Friday:
8:00 AM•5:30 PM (unpaid lunch 1:00-2:00 PM) — last patient at 4:30
PM Note:
There is a 30-minute end-of-day buffer after the last patient each day to complete closing and balancing tasks.
Hours:
Approximately 26-29 hours per week (26 guaranteed hours; occasional additional hours may be available to cover for our Office Manager when needed.) The schedule listed reflects our current needs. Minor adjustments to hours may occur based on patient volume and office flow. Applicants must be able to consistently work these days and hours. Please do not apply if this schedule is not a good fit. Overview The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for our patients and families. This role requires strong multitasking skills, excellent attention to detail, confidence handling payments, and a friendly, welcoming presence. You will work closely with our Office Manager and doctors while supporting a steady flow of patients throughout the day. Accuracy, confidence, and the ability to prioritize people over tasks are essential. Responsibilities Greet and welcome patients immediately and warmly as they enter the office Check patients in and out efficiently and accurately Collect patient payments and discuss balances clearly and professionally Schedule and reschedule appointments before patients leave Answer phone calls while assisting patients at the front desk Maintain accurate records and double-check all financial transactions Monitor the schedule and coordinate patient flow between treatment rooms Communicate clearly with doctors and staff regarding room availability Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area Support families and children in a calm, caring, and patient-centered manner Assist the Office Manager and team with additional duties as needed This Role Requires Strong multitasking ability in a busy, high-volume environment with frequent interruptions Excellent attention to detail, especially with numbers and payments Confidence asking patients for payment and discussing financial responsibility A friendly, upbeat, and engaging personality Clear speaking voice and professional communication skills Ability to follow established systems and workflows Openness to feedback, coaching, and learning Reliability, consistency, and long-term interest in the position Practice Environment Family-focused chiropractic office Comfort working around children is required (including occasionally holding babies while parents are adjusted) Professional appearance expected (no strong fragrances; smoke-free during work hours) Team-oriented environment where going above and beyond is appreciated Ideal Candidate Is dependable and stable with consistent availability Thrives in a fast-paced, people-facing role Is confident, warm, and attentive Takes pride in accuracy and professionalism Is seeking stable, long-term employment rather than a short-term or transitional role Enjoys being part of a close-knit community practice This Position May Not Be a
