DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION
- Coordinates and facilitates unit activities including Promptly answering call lights using positive guest relations skills and page-appropriate staff.
- Greets and directs patients, visitors, and employees with courtesy and respect, and addresses them professionally. Utilizes the principles of Patient Family Centered Care.
- Maintain a neat, clean patient environment. Maintain unit supplies, restocking as needed.
- Meets the standards for regulatory requirements for state and federal agencies.
- Promote and achieve the satisfaction of internal customers. Effectively intercede with families and patients and resolve concerns if able, if not able consult with the RN providing care to the patient.
- Provides administrative and clerical support for the assigned unit including transcribing and processing physician orders, including computer entry.
- Cost-effectively utilizes human and material resources.
- May complete unit/department-specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.
