Veterinary Receptionist A Home Vet Clinic Billings, MT Job Details Part-time $16 - $18 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a warm, organized, and reliable Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated animal care team. As the first point of contact for our clinic, you will represent our professional image and set the tone for our clients and their pets. The ideal candidate thrives in a slow-paced environment and possesses a genuine passion for animal welfare and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relations:
Warmly greet clients and patients, check them in, and ensure a welcoming lobby environment.
Communication:
Answer phone systems, screen emergencies, and schedule appointments.
Administrative Duties:
Update patient and client records, prepare health certificates, and process emails.
Financials:
Accurately handle transactions, prepare invoices, and effectively communicate treatment plan estimates.
Clinic Support:
Manage prescription refills, assist with retail product recommendations (e.g., preventatives, food), and keep the front desk organized. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 2+ years of experience in customer service. Veterinary clinic experience or knowledge of veterinary terminology is highly preferred. Proficiency with computers and the ability to quickly learn practice management software. Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm and empathetic during stressful or emergency situations. Physical Requirements Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods and lift/carry up to 40 lbs. Comfortable working in an environment with exposure to animals, animal dander, and medical cleaning supplies.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
