Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients and visitors to the practice.
  • Keep front office area neat and tidy.
  • Register patients in the practice management system.
  • Collect co-pays and/or balances.
  • Covid Screening
  • Verifying Insurance
  • Balance cash drawer at the end of the day.
  • Answer calls on a multi-line system; take messages or transfer calls appropriately.
  • Direct visitors (drug reps, salespersons, etc.) appropriately.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Scans information into the practice management system.
  • Verify insurance.
  • Make reminder calls to remind patients of their appointments.
  • Responsible for locking up the office and turning on the answering service.
  • Provides back up support to medical records custodian and referral coordinator.
  • Work with clinical staff to ensure a great customer service experience.
  • Report to front office manager.
Job Requirements:
  • Experience as a front desk receptionist or satisfactory education in the field.
  • Familiarity with office machines (fax, printer, multi-line phone system, etc.)
  • Knowledge in MS Office.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Great customer service.
  • Good organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-work environment as needed.
  • Familiarity with health insurance.
