Dog Bather/Receptionist

In this vital role, you'll be the first friendly face clients see, greeting pet owners and assisting with their grooming and care needs. You'll also perform professional dog bathing and grooming services, ensuring every furry guest looks and feels their best. Responsibilities Greet clients warmly upon arrival, providing excellent customer service and answering questions about pet grooming and care. Perform dog bathing, brushing, trimming, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other grooming services with attention to detail. Handle animal restraint safely and humanely during grooming procedures to ensure comfort for pets and safety for staff. Maintain cleanliness of grooming areas, tools, and equipment to uphold health standards. Assist with pet care tasks such as feeding, walking, and monitoring animals' health during visits. Manage appointment scheduling efficiently using the reception system and communicate effectively with clients regarding their pet's needs. Support kennel duties when needed, including light cleaning and animal handling to ensure a safe environment for all pets. Requirements Prior experience in pet grooming or dog handling is highly preferred; familiarity with pet bathing techniques is essential. Knowledge of animal handling, restraint techniques, and basic pet care practices. Experience working with veterinary or veterinary technician environments is a plus, demonstrating understanding of animal health needs. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients. Ability to perform light physical tasks including heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds when necessary for animal handling or supplies. Basic understanding of dog training principles and pet sitting is advantageous. A genuine passion for animals combined with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
