Job Description

Join Our Dental Team! We are looking for a motivated, organized, and patient-focused Dental Scheduler to join our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, detail-oriented, and confident communicating with patients while keeping the schedule productive and efficient.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Dental Scheduler is responsible for managing the patient schedule, coordinating appointments, confirming visits, and helping maintain an efficient and productive daily schedule. The ideal candidate understands that scheduling is more than simply booking appointments—it is about creating a positive patient experience while supporting the clinical and financial goals of the practice.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Schedule and reschedule patient appointments efficiently. Answer incoming calls and assist patients with scheduling needs. Confirm appointments through phone calls, text messages, and other communication systems. Maintain an accurate and productive provider schedule. Fill cancellations and open appointment times. Monitor the schedule for gaps, opportunities, and scheduling conflicts. Schedule treatment according to provider recommendations and treatment plans. Coordinate new patient appointments and ensure required information is collected. Review patient appointment history and scheduling needs. Communicate appointment instructions clearly to patients. Coordinate referrals, specialty appointments, and outside providers when necessary. Follow up with patients who have unscheduled or incomplete treatment. Help reduce broken appointments, cancellations, and no-shows. Maintain accurate patient records and scheduling documentation. Work closely with the front desk, treatment coordinators, dental assistants, hygienists, and doctors. Protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA requirements. Provide exceptional customer service at every patient interaction. Follow office scheduling policies, procedures, and productivity standards.

$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
