Chief Human Resources Officer Job Summary:
The Central Office Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for students, staff, parents, and visitors at VCS Administrative Service Center. This position is responsible for managing the front desk, providing excellent customer service, and performing a variety of administrative tasks to support the ACS's daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist staff, parents, and visitors in a friendly, professional manner. Answer, screen, and direct phone calls; take and relay messages accurately. Monitor and manage visitor access, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Maintain the front office area, ensuring it is organized, welcoming, and secure. Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries. Assist with clerical tasks such as filing, copying, and data entry as needed. Provide support to staff with administrative needs, including preparation of materials for meetings or events. Communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, and other stakeholders. Respond to guests inquiries and direct them to appropriate personnel when necessary. Assist with the coordination of events and activities as needed. Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures in the reception area.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in office administration is a plus. Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer literacy. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Friendly, professional demeanor and a commitment to providing excellent service. Familiarity with school operations and educational environments is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods and perform tasks requiring repetitive motion. Occasionally lift and move office supplies and materials.
