Job Description

Position Summary A Medical Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for greeting patients, managing appointments, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth front office operations in a healthcare clinic. This role requires strong communication, organization, and customer service skills. Key Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner Check patients in and out for appointments Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries Verify patient insurance information and collect copays Maintain and update patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system Process patient paperwork, forms, and referrals Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails Coordinate with nurses, physicians, and other clinic staff Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act Required Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Previous receptionist, administrative, or customer service experience preferred Basic knowledge of medical terminology (preferred) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Good organizational and multitasking abilities Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, scheduling software)
