Receptionist - Optometry Office Prairie EyeCare Center Join our team at Prairie EyeCare Center and be part of our mission to deliver exceptional eye care services. Primary Position / Tasks Include One or more years of receptionist or front-desk experience in a medical or optometric practice preferred; willing to train the right candidate. Provide exceptional patient service during every encounter—whether in person or via phone. Manage check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling, and daily patient flow. Verify insurance benefits, collect copays, and communicate financial expectations clearly. Proficient with computer use, including scanning, importing/exporting documents, email, Microsoft Word, and comfort using electronic medical records/scheduling systems. Exhibit a friendly, positive, and courteous manner at all times. Hardworking, reliable, and flexible, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Collaborative attitude and ability to work well with clinical and administrative staff. Attention to detail, including accurate data entry, correct spelling, and proper documentation. Strong organizational skills to maintain an efficient front desk and smooth patient flow. Qualifications Provides excellent patient care and demonstrates an energetic, empathetic approach. Must comply with HIPAA confidentiality standards when communicating patient information. Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with all levels of employees in a courteous, professional manner. Ability to track patient flow, anticipate needs, and support overall office efficiency. Desire to gain industry knowledge and grow within the practice. Demonstrates initiative in accomplishing practice goals. Ability to adapt, accept change, and maintain a positive work environment. Flexibility in scheduling to meet business needs, including weekends when applicable. Education and / or
