Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused individual to join our Resident Services team as Receptionist. As the first point of contact for residents, families, and visitors, the Receptionist is crucial in providing excellent customer service and creating a positive atmosphere within our community. Your responsibilities will include greeting and assisting visitors, answering phone calls, managing appointments, and providing general administrative support. This position requires strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a warm and welcoming demeanor. The schedule for this position is weekdays 11:30am-7:00pm and occasional weekends. In serving this commitment, we seek to provide a positive and supportive work environment. Responsibilities Help visitors by greeting, welcoming, directing, and announcing them appropriately. Answer, screen, and forward any incoming phone calls while presenting essential information when needed Receive and sort daily mail/deliveries/couriers. Manage security by following procedures and controlling access (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges) Complete other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, collating, scanning, etc. Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate skills for communicating, mainly by phone, with individuals of all ages, especially the senior population Excellent telephone and communication skills Strong computer skills using word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs Strong organizational and time management skills Resourceful and proactive, able to deal with issues as they arise Capacity to organize, multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure A high school diploma or equivalent, with two years of similar experience, is required.
