Job Description

About the Practice The clinical director of a group psychotherapy practice in Central NJ is seeking an additional part time receptionist to assist with various clerical duties. The company is a private outpatient group private practice that provides psychotherapy to children, teens and adults. The practice is rooted in social justice with a mission of expanding the accessibility of quality mental health care to marginalized groups. About the Position This is an entry level position. The incumbent will learn from and work directly with the practice manager and current part time receptionist of the practice and will be taught to perform a variety of clerical functions in a behavioral health based practice relating to billing, admissions, scheduling, quality assurance, record keeping and patient representative work. The incumbent will provide regular, consistent reception to in-person clients and virtual clients, through both telephone calls and email inquiries. The incumbent is expected to work on a part-time basis with a schedule of 5 hour shifts, 3 days per week. The scheduled days for work would be Monday, Wednesday & Friday. All work hours must be completed in person within the offices located in the Bridgewater and Randolph areas (Somerset and Morris counties). At this time the practice is operating as a hybrid with both in person and virtual appointments. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will be an individual who is passionate about psychology and social justice. Someone who is comfortable and able to work affirmatively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. The ideal candidate will be someone holding at least a high school diploma, however, Bachelor's degree and/or pursuing higher education in a related field is preferred. The ideal candidate is reliable and a fast learner. Someone with some clerical or administrative experience, and who is not just looking for a "job" but rather seeking to make an impact on a larger scale for the community at large.
