About CJCP Central Jersey College Prep Charter School (CJCP) is a tuition-free, public charter school in Somerset, New Jersey serving grades Kindergarten through 12th. CJCP first opened in 2006 with 77 students, and is now serving a diverse population of over 1,300 students and nearly 300 faculty and staff. CJCP is a recipient of many awards and designations such as: USDOE Blue Ribbon Award, 2016 NJDOE Tier-I Charter School, 2013-2018 US News Best High Schools, 2015

Front Desk Representative Responsibilities Include:
Provide a warm, professional welcome to all visitors, ensuring they are properly signed in accordance with district safety protocols Direct incoming calls to the appropriate departments and take detailed messages for staff and administration. Serve as a resource for parents regarding school schedules, events, and general inquiries. Monitor the main entrance, verify identification, and issue visitor badges to maintain a secure campus Assist in coordinating school safety drills and serve as a central communication hub during emergency situations Follow all Board policies and OSHA standards as outlined in the School Employee Handbook Manage daily student attendance, late sign ins, and early dismissal Handle student record requests and maintain organized filing systems for administrative documents Monitor office supply levels and coordinate with the Director of Operations for ordering as needed.
Essential Duties:
Communicates responsibly with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and school leadership; Accounts for student attendance and punctuality; Follows all county, state, and federal policies and procedures; Follows professional ethics in all work-related activities;
Additional Responsibilities:
Prepares adequately for responsibilities to be assumed when absent; Avoids behaviors which detract from staff morale; Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Proven communication and instructional strategies; Classroom management skills; Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing; Excellent organizational skills.
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent; NJ Criminal History; Work authorization in the U.S.; Tuberculosis Test; Experience is a plus.
