Job Description

We are looking for a warm, compassionate, and organized Veterinary Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our clients and their pets. As a key member of our team, you will help ensure our clinic runs smoothly by providing exceptional customer service, supporting our veterinary staff, and creating a welcoming environment for every family who walks through our doors. Responsibilities Greet clients and patients with kindness and professionalism. Schedule and confirm appointments, surgeries, and procedures. Answer phones, manage client inquiries, and direct calls appropriately. Accurately enter and update client and patient information in electronic medical records. Process payments and handle financial transactions with accuracy and confidentiality. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting reception and waiting area. Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks such as preparing patient records. Communicate effectively with the veterinary team regarding patient needs and client concerns. Support the team with additional tasks as needed, including light cleaning
Qualifications Experience:
Prior experience in customer service or a veterinary setting is preferred. However, a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to teamwork may be considered in place of experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment Basic computer proficiency; experience with veterinary software and record keeping is a plus
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required Qualities We Value Compassion and empathy for animals AND the people who love them Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Friendly, professional, and supportive demeanor Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, as needed A genuine passion for animal welfare and for contributing to a positive, family-oriented culture
Pay:
$17.00 - $24.00 per hour
