•25 per hour Veterinarian Pet Alliance is seeking a friendly, reliable, and professional Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As one of the first points of contact for our clients, you will create a welcoming experience while keeping the front desk organized and supporting our veterinary team. Responsibilities Welcome clients and their pets warmly and professionally Answer telephone calls and respond to routine client questions Direct medical questions and urgent concerns to the appropriate veterinary team member Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments Check clients in and out efficiently Create and maintain accurate client and patient records Collect payments and provide receipts Explain appointment instructions, clinic policies, and general service information Communicate with veterinarians, technicians, and other team members Handle client questions and concerns calmly and respectfully Maintain a clean and organized reception area Perform other front-desk and administrative duties as needed Qualifications Must speak English and either Spanish or Portuguese Previous veterinary receptionist or veterinary industry experience is strongly preferred Friendly, dependable, punctual, and professional Excellent customer service and communication skills Comfortable communicating in person and over the phone Able to multitask and remain organized in a busy clinic Comfortable using computers, scheduling software, and electronic records Able to handle sensitive or emotional conversations with patience and compassion
Schedule Full-time:
Five days per week
Part-time:
At least three days per week, including Saturdays This is an on-site position in Newark, New Jersey Compensation and Benefits $20
