Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and bilingual Korean-speaking Front Desk Receptionist specializing in physical therapy clinics. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks with efficiency and professionalism. Your energetic approach will help create a welcoming environment, ensuring smooth clinic operations and accurate documentation. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly in Korean and English, ensuring a positive first impression. Schedule appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth, coordinating with clinical staff to optimize daily operations. Verify patient insurance information, including health insurance coverage, Medicare, and Medicaid details, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage medical records and documentation review processes, including CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and billing procedures for accurate medical billing and coding. Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette; assist patients with inquiries about clinic services or appointment scheduling. Maintain clinic supplies and organize medical records while adhering to clinical confidentiality policies and health information management standards. Support medical administrative functions such as data entry, typing, 10-key keypad operations, and electronic health records (EHR) management to ensure seamless workflow. Requirements Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English is essential for effective communication with diverse patient populations. Previous clinic experience or medical office experience is highly preferred; familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Meditech, eClinicalWorks or Athenahealth is a plus. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and health insurance processes including Medicare is required. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records management is desirable. Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to handle phone communication professionally and courteously. Prior clerical experience in a healthcare setting or dental clinic experience will be considered an asset. Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail; familiarity with HIPAA compliance and clinical confidentiality policies is essential. Strong organizational skills for managing medical records, documentation review, and appointment scheduling in a fast-paced environment.
