The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service in a professional manner. This role is essential in managing the front desk operations, ensuring smooth communication, and maintaining efficient office procedures. One year experience in a medical or optometry office is preferred. Responsibilities Greet and assist patients and visitors upon arrival with a warm and welcoming demeanor. Manage incoming calls using phone systems, while maintaining excellent phone etiquette. Schedule appointments, maintain the appointment calendar, and verify insurance benefits ensuring optimal use of time for both staff and patients. Review documentation and medical records for accuracy before patient visits. Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to create a professional atmosphere. Handle patient inquiries regarding services, insurance, and office policies with clarity and professionalism. Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence, patient screening and optical sales. Experience Previous experience in a receptionist or front desk role in a medical or dental office environment is required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. Proficiency in using phone systems and basic office equipment; experience with Microsoft office, word and excel software is a plus. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks performed.
