Job Description

Front Desk Administrator Position Summary JEM is seeking a reliable and personable Front Desk Administrator to serve as the first point of contact for visitors, vendors, and employees. This role is responsible for managing the front desk, receiving and processing incoming deliveries and packages, and providing administrative support across departments. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable balancing customer-facing duties with behind-the-scenes coordination. Key Responsibilities Front Desk & Visitor Management Greet visitors, vendors, and employees in a professional and welcoming manner; sign in guests and issue badges as required. Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls; monitor and respond to the general office email inbox. Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable front lobby and reception area. Manage conference room scheduling and assist with visitor logistics (parking, refreshments, meeting setup). Mail, Packages, and Deliveries Receive, open, and inspect incoming boxes, packages, and mail; verify contents against packing slips or purchase orders. Log and route deliveries to the appropriate department or individual in a timely manner. Coordinate with vendors and couriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx, freight carriers) for incoming and outgoing shipments. Flag discrepancies, damaged items, or missing shipments to the appropriate department or manager. Maintain accurate records of deliveries received and distributed. Cross-Department Support Provide administrative assistance to departments as needed, including data entry, filing, copying, and scanning. Support onboarding of new hires (welcome packets, badge/key issuance, workstation coordination). Assist with ordering and restocking office and kitchen supplies. Help coordinate internal events, meetings, and company communications. Perform other front-office and administrative duties as assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred. 1+ years of experience in a front desk, receptionist, or administrative support role preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and friendly demeanor. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and standard office equipment. Discretion in handling confidential or sensitive information.

From $25.00 per hour
