Job Description
Compiles and maintains records of office activities as well as operates telephone system to answer incoming calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel by performing the following duties.
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Prepares application for absence from work and 20 day reports for staff. Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department. Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to appropriate personnel. Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information. Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel. Monitors visitor access and issues passes when required. Assists with processing school transcripts on requests of students transferring Receives, sorts, and routes mail, and maintains and routes publications. Assists with registering and withdrawing students. Creates and prints memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents when necessary. Cross-trains with other members of clerical staff to serve as backup in their absence. Assists with translating for parents when necessary. Maintains care for equipment. Maintains all records and files in accordance with established procedures and does the needed filing. Assists administrator as needed or required by the administrator. Other duties as assigned.
