Admitting Clerk / Receptionist Capital Region Ambulatory Surgery Center (The Bone and Joint Center) is currently seeking candidates for an Admitting Clerk / Receptionist . Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for patient care and billing accuracy? We're looking for an Admitting Clerk / Receptionist to join our dedicated team at a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center. This role combines front-desk responsibilities with billing and insurance tasks to support smooth, efficient operations and exceptional patient experiences.
Responsibilities:
Front Desk & Admissions Welcome patients with professionalism and compassion Verify and update demographic and insurance information Enter patient details accurately into our electronic medical records system Collect and reconcile front desk payments; balance cash drawer daily Coordinate communication between patients, nursing staff, and schedulers Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards
Qualifications:
Experience:
1+ years in a healthcare or medical environment
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (required) Strong communication and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records Ability to multitask and stay detail-oriented in a fast-paced setting Commitment to patient privacy and professionalism
