A professional, fast paced and well-established, general practice law firm in Flushing, New York is seeking a hardworking, sincere, and responsible receptionist and a interpreter who has fluency in both English and Chinese, has strong communication skills, outstanding organizational skills, and strong computer skills to assist our team.PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DON'T SPEAK CHINESE
Responsibilities and Duties:
Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Answering telephone, screen, and direct calls.
- Taking and replying to messages.
- Registering and greeting clients.
- Having ability to translate from Chinese Mandarin to English and vice versa on spot.
- Carrying out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, scanning etc.
Interpreter Responsibilities:
- Having ability to translate from Chinese Mandarin to English and vice versa on spot.
- Carrying out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, scanning etc.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) and be able to read, write, type and speak.
- Excellent bilingual verbal communication skills between clients and attorneys.
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
- Detail-oriented, self-starter with the ability to multi-task.
- Having work authorization in United States.
