Receptionist/Office Assistant
Job Description
We are a warm and welcoming daycare center dedicated to providing a nurturing and educational experience for young children. We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, organized, and reliable office assistant who loves working with children to support our daily operations.
•Bilingual English-Spanish or English-Mandarin speaker preferred

Responsibilities:
• Greet children, families, staff, and visitors in a warm, friendly, and professional manner Serve as a welcoming and helpful point of contact for families throughout the day Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and assist with general parent inquiries Perform general administrative duties, including filing, data entry, copying, scanning, organizing paperwork, and maintaining records Assist with organizing and maintaining staff and teacher schedules to ensure appropriate classroom coverage Coordinate and help manage teacher breaks, lunches, call-outs, and daily staffing needs Provide classroom coverage for teacher breaks and absences as needed Step into classrooms to support teachers and children when additional assistance is needed Assist with enrollment paperwork, student files, staff documentation, and other required records Help ensure files and documentation are complete, accurate, organized, and up to date Support school leadership with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks Communicate important information between administrators, teachers, and families Maintain an organized, professional, and welcoming front office and reception area Assist with school events, family communications, supply organization, and other special projects Help ensure the center follows daycare policies, procedures, licensing requirements, and health and safety practices Be flexible and willing to jump in wherever needed to help the school run smoothly
Requirements:
• Must be a team player and willing to help wherever needed Must be comfortable giving tours to families and communicating program details Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience working in an office or childcare setting preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer skills Bilingual (English & Chinese or Spanish) is a plus Why Join Us?
