Job Description
Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Secretary/Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records and providing administrative support. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills and have experience with various accounting software, ensuring that our financial processes run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collections. Perform account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records. Assist in general ledger accounting, including entries and adjustments. Conduct general ledger reconciliation to verify accuracy of accounts. Utilize QuickBooks and for financial reporting and bookkeeping tasks. Apply knowledge of governmental accounting principles as needed. Maintain organized financial documentation for easy access and review. Support the preparation of financial statements and reports. Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes. Experience Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel is highly desirable. Strong understanding of financial concepts, including technical accounting principles. Experience with account reconciliation and general ledger accounting practices. Familiarity with governmental accounting standards is a plus. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are essential. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
