Lead Front Desk Receptionist Job Summary CHOICES Women's Medical Center is seeking a reliable, experienced Lead Front Desk Receptionist to lead front desk operations and ensure an exceptional patient experience. This role supports the Manager of Administrative Services by overseeing workflow, guiding team members, and maintaining efficient patient flow and service standards. The ideal candidate is a team player who is detail-oriented, punctual, and dependable, with strong communication skills and a positive, patient-focused attitude. Proficiency in EMRs (ECW preferred) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required, along with the ability to multitask. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and facilitate registration, including distributing paperwork, collecting completed forms, and checking for accuracy Lead by example in providing a friendly, professional, and welcoming front desk experience Verify patient identification and update demographics, date of birth, and name spelling in eClinicalWorks (ECW) Assist with insurance eligibility verification as needed Schedule appointments, including walk-ins, ensuring proper patient flow based on provider schedules Maintain communication with other departments to support scheduling, resolve workflow concerns, and keep daily operations running smoothly Update patient status and scan documents in ECW Answer front desk calls, take messages, route calls appropriately, and send telephone encounters to providers Provide professional support to patients, including answering questions and giving directions Assist with training and onboarding new front desk staff to ensure consistent procedures Support the Manager of Administrative Services by leading daily front desk workflow and addressing routine team concerns Escort patients to appropriate areas and act as a gatekeeper for the facility and GYN department as needed Handle co-pay and self-pay transactions; provide cash logs with receipts to the Financial Coordinator Monitor patient wait times, identify workflow barriers, and escalate concerns to the Manager of Administrative Services Assist with patient flow as needed Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications & Requirements Associate's degree required. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Lead Medical Front Desk setting. Experience with (EMR) systems required; eClinicalWorks (ECW) experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to provide outstanding patient service. Ability to maintain professionalism in appearance, communication, and conduct. Bilingual preferred.
