Job Description
Position Overview :
The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients and visitors at the New York Medical and Diagnostic Center. This role requires a professional and courteous individual who can provide both administrative support and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a welcoming presence, be adept at multitasking, and maintain patient confidentiality.Key Responsibilities :
Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner. Processing patients as they come in. Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed. Schedule and confirm patient appointments or medical consultations. Register patients according to established protocols and assist them in filling out the necessary forms. Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information. Process co-payments, and provide receipts to patients. Handle general administrative tasks, such as filing, photocopying, faxing, and sorting documents. Manage patient flow by notifying the staff of patients' arrivals or delays, and coordinate with medical staff for efficient patient care. Provide patients with support and guidance as needed. Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is clean and welcoming. Ensure the confidentiality of all patient records and information. Perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a related field preferred. Proven work experience as a receptionist, front office representative, or similar role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and medical office software. Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and billing is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask. Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. Must be reliable and highly motivated with a keen attention to detail. Bilingual abilities are advantageous.Physical Requirements :
