As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring our office runs smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
Managing front desk operations, including patient check-in/out, appointment scheduling, and answering patient questions, while delivering exceptional customer service; Verify insurance and physical therapy coverage for each new patient; Contacting some insurance companies to verify if authorization is required for physical therapy visits; Following up on unpaid or underpaid claims; Collecting patient's payments on daily basis; Entering accurate patient information in the EMR system for new patients and updating information for existing patients; Answering phone calls and emails, assisting patients, and upholding HIPAA compliance, ensuring a welcoming and professional healthcare experience;
Qualifications:
Previous medical office experience required Knowledge of health insurance basics (in network vs out of network, deductible, coinsurance, copayments, out of pocket, authorization process, etc.) Experience in medical insurance verification a plus Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and manage a busy office environment Proficiency with scheduling software preferred (QuickEMR) Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards Familiarity with clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, and data entry is a must Ability to use discretion, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 12.0 - 32.0 per week
