You are:
a problem solver, make timely decisions Good at data entry and typing skills. great attention to detail great customer service skills and make patients feel comfortable effective communicator with patients and staff You will: Greet/ check-in patients. Manage incoming and outgoing calls in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner. Receiving requests for recurring medication and preparing prescriptions for a signature by the provider. Ensure the completion of all necessary forms and documentation including medical insurance with an accuracy rate of no less than 95%. Schedule appointments in Electronic Medical Records system. Register and discharge patients, ensuring all documents have been filled out properly and copay's and other monies due are paid at the time of service. Liaising with patients, providers, and patient's family members in a compassionate and kind manner. Coordinate the scheduling of additional appointments, testing, and making doctor's notes as needed. Verification of insurance, obtaining prior authorizations for any testing, and referrals to specialty physicians. Answer patient questions completely and effectively and, if needed, provide follow-up or refer to another person or department for assistance whether in writing, verbally or electronically. Assist clinical staff with other administrative tasks as needed. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team. Maintain confidentiality at all times. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED 1 year of medical receptionist experience preferred Orthopedic Experience preferred

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
