Job Description

We're looking for a professional, friendly individual to fill our open Front Desk Receptionist position. The ideal candidate for this position has experience working in a medical office, acute care or urgent care facility and is interested in assisting our surgical and dermatological patients as well as answering questions about physicians' credentials and insurance issues. We're looking for team-oriented individuals to ensure that our waiting area is a comfortable place for all of our patients while they are visiting our office.
Responsibilities:
Answer a multi-line telephone system and route calls to the appropriate specialist. Answer and direct telephone calls; respond to routine questions, special inquiries, and requests for general information. Compile, record, and communicate statistics and other information. Answer basic questions about policies, coverage details, and services offered; manage customer complaints; provide customer service; resolve customer problems. Be a member of a healthcare team for the purpose of providing patient-centered care to all patients via scheduled appointments or answering phone calls from outpatients or urgent care patients with medical needs. Serve as the first point of contact for patients seeking healthcare services from organized healthcare practices. Provide quality customer service to patients and health plan members. Exhibit excellent customer service skills in all interactions with patients, health plan members, physicians, staff members, business partners, business associates and others.
