Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a professional Receptionist for a direct hire opportunity in a New York City corporate banking office. This role is ideal for an organized, polished, and service-focused administrative professional who enjoys being the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and internal teams. The Receptionist will manage front desk operations, support office coordination, assist with meetings and events, and provide administrative support across the office. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the front desk, greet visitors, assist associates and clients, and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Coordinate conference room bookings, catering orders, meeting preparation, and event setup support.
  • Process mail and FedEx shipments, order office and pantry supplies, and help maintain an organized office environment.
  • Serve as a liaison with property management for facilities issues, maintenance needs, and office requests.
  • Support onboarding activities, technology-related requests, building access badges, seating chart updates, and timesheet approvals.
  • Assist with document preparation, printing, scanning, Word and Excel edits, ad hoc projects, and overflow administrative coverage. Compensation and Benefits
  • Compensation:
    $25 to $30 per hour.

    Direct hire.

    New York, NY. Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Manage front desk operations and serve as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and employees.
  • Coordinate meetings, conference rooms, catering, office supplies, mail, and facilities-related requests.
  • Support onboarding, building access, seating charts, timesheet approvals, and administrative office projects.
  • Prepare and edit documents using Microsoft Office tools.
  • 3 to 5 years of related receptionist, office assistant, or administrative support experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent corporate office experience.
  • Experience working in a professional corporate environment and supporting upper-level management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, resourcefulness, and follow-through.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and employees.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, calm under pressure, and strong in time management and conflict management.
  • Flexibility in work schedule. Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in banking, financial services, lending, or another professional services environment.
  • Experience supporting office operations, facilities coordination, onboarding, and executive-level teams.
  • Strong customer service background in a client-facing corporate reception role.
