Receptionist Location Northport, NY 11731 Date Posted August 27, 2026 Job ID 15383 Employment Type Contract Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Receptionist for a professional client seeking reliable front desk and administrative support during a temporary leave of absence. This is an onsite temporary position expected to last a minimum of six weeks, working approximately 30 hours per week from 10:00 AM-4:00/4:30 PM.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Receptionist will serve as a welcoming first point of contact for patients and visitors while providing essential front desk and administrative support. This position is ideal for a customer-service-focused professional who is organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will quickly learn office procedures and provide dependable coverage throughout the temporary assignment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing professional and welcoming customer service. Answer and route incoming phone calls while responding to general inquiries accurately and efficiently. Perform administrative duties including scanning, faxing, document handling, and maintaining organized records. Manage multiple front desk priorities while ensuring tasks are completed accurately and promptly. Learn and follow established office procedures and utilize internal systems, including Nextech as needed. Provide reliable day-to-day reception coverage and support the team with additional administrative needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong reception, front desk, or customer service experience in a professional environment. Comfortable managing incoming calls and completing scanning, faxing, and general administrative tasks. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting. Professional communication skills and confidence interacting with patients, visitors, and internal team members. Familiarity with Nextech is preferred but not required; training can be provided.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This temporary position offers an hourly pay rate of $20-$22, depending on experience and qualifications. The schedule is approximately 30 hours per week, 10:00 AM-4:00/4:30 PM, and the assignment is expected to last a minimum of six weeks.
