Job Summary:
We are seeking a self-directing individual to join our hospital outpatient services team. The primary goal of this position is to assist staff in providing an inviting and welcoming environment for clients. The ideal candidate will help ensure that clients can receive desired services with maximum confidentiality, privacy, efficiency, and effectiveness. This role involves interacting with clients, guests, staff, and consultants with respect and discretion. The Physician Office Receptionist will support service operations with highly developed administrative, organizational, record-keeping, clerical, and interpersonal skills. The ability to organize and work effectively with a broad scope of multiple tasks is essential. This position may require floating to other Health Centers as needed. Scheduled shifts will fluctuate and vary based on operational needs, with start and end times ranging from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The schedule may include up to two weekends per month. Business casual dress attire is required.Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED is required. A two-year degree or equivalent experience in secretarial science, business, or a related field is preferred.Experience & Skills:
Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred. A valid NYS Driver's License is required. The ability to organize and work efficiently with multiple tasks is required. Must demonstrate friendliness, respect, and a helpful attitude with patients, visitors, guests, and staff. Computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs, are necessary. Desktop publishing skills are desirable. Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.Requirements:
