Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a versatile Front Desk Receptionist to welcome patients to our Pediatric and Adult Ophthalmology practice. In this role, you will manage front desk operations and support administrative functions to ensure smooth daily operations. Because we are a collaborative and agile team, you will also be trained to cross-cover as an Ophthalmic Technician to assist our clinical staff when needed. Your positive attitude and strong organizational skills will help contribute to a professional and friendly environment for patients and team members alike. Our office is focused on creating a happy, rewarding, and team-oriented work culture. Promotion within the practice is available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities Patient Welcome, Check-In, Check-Out, & Scheduling:
Greet families and adult patients. Manage digital intake forms and update patient demographics. Process patient financial responsibilities including co-pays and deductibles. Schedule and confirm follow up appointments.Insurance Verification:
Navigate health and vision insurance plans. Verify eligibility.Clinical Cross-Coverage:
Learn the ropes of the back office! We will train you to step in as a technician when needed, performing basic pre-testing, visual acuity checks, and patient work-ups.What We Are Looking For Child & Family Friendly Approach Insurance Familiarity:
1+ years experience working with medical insurances, copays, and authorizations. Adaptability & Eagerness to Learn Bilingual/Spanish preferred but not requiredPay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 28.0 - 32.0 per weekBenefits:
