Role:
Southwoods Health is hiring a Receptionist for a Primary Care office in Columbiana, Ohio . In this role, you will register, schedule, and process patient information while providing a comprehensive and proactive experience for our visitors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding customer service skills to support patients while accurately gathering demographic, financial, and insurance data. As the first point of contact, you will be expected to understand and strictly abide by our Patient Relations company policies.
Essential Duties:
Patient Welcome:
Create a welcoming, friendly, and professional environment for patients and visitors through exceptional customer service.
Scheduling & Inquiries:
Schedule patient appointments, answer phone calls, and provide information in person.
Check-In/Check-Out:
Greet patients, provide necessary paperwork for completion, check patients in and out, and monitor reception area flow.
Financial Duties:
Collect patient co-pays, close the cash drawer, and accurately complete daily deposits.
Data Management:
Update patient information and insurance documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) chart.
Compliance:
Perform all tasks in accordance with facility policies, objectives, and mission statements. Ensure all physician practice processes maintain compliance with regulatory agencies. What You'll Need (Qualifications):
Education/Training:
Completed coursework or training in business office operations, computer applications, and medical terminology.
Technical Skills:
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Prior experience as a medical receptionist is preferred.
