Previous automotive, customer service, or estimating experience preferred We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and organized Front Desk Receptionist / Estimator to join our auto body repair team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, has an interest in the automotive industry, and can handle basic collision repair estimating. Responsibilities Greet customers and provide professional, friendly customer service. Answer phones, schedule appointments, and respond to customer inquiries. Check vehicles in and out and maintain accurate customer information. Communicate with customers regarding repair status, estimates, insurance claims, and completion dates. Prepare basic collision repair estimates and supplements. Take vehicle photos and document vehicle damage. Work with insurance companies, adjusters, parts suppliers, and technicians as needed. Review estimates and repair orders for accuracy. Obtain customer approvals and explain repair procedures and costs. Maintain organized paperwork and customer records. Assist with general front-office duties and support the shop's daily operations. Qualifications Previous experience in an auto body shop, automotive service, estimating, or a customer-facing position is preferred. Basic estimating knowledge is preferred ; willingness to learn and improve estimating skills is important. Strong customer service and communication skills. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Ability to multitask in a busy shop environment. Good computer skills and ability to learn estimating and shop-management software. Detail-oriented and organized. Ability to work effectively with customers, insurance representatives, technicians, and management. Valid driver's license preferred.
