Job Description
Seeking an enthusiastic, friendly, long-term and outgoing receptionist. The primary duties of the position will be answering phones, scheduling patients, checking patients in and out, billing and collecting money, working with our insurance department to submit claims, post insurance payments and assist with account collections. This position will also be trained to assist the doctors as needed. The employee will need to be available during all office hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00-5:00; Tuesday, Thursday 9:00-6:00. Scheduled hours may fluctuate within these office hours.
Requirements:
Medical terminology knowledge preferred Receptionist background preferred, particularly medical reception Strong customer service skills Ability to multitask Ability to work with electronic medical records systemResponsibilities:
Assisting patients via telephone with questions, and medical triage between patient and doctor. Schedule appointments for patients Check patients in and out Maintain updated patient demographics and insurance information Verification of insurance Billing insurance and patient billing Referring patients to specialists as requested by the doctor Assist with insurance on an as-needed basis which includes: --Communicating with patients regarding insurance matters --Managing past due and collections accounts Assist doctors with patient care and testing as neededJob Type:
