Job description The Clinical Receptionist is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and maintaining accurate medical records. They also perform general clerical duties, including answering phones, handling patient check-ins, and assisting with billing and invoicing.

on-site Willoughby, OH Essential Duties Greets clients, vendors, and visitors in a professional manner. Handles queries and concerns via phone, email, and general correspondence and/or routes to appropriate personnel. Assisting clients with completing necessary forms and documentation. Answers and screens incoming telephone calls, takes accurate and thorough messages. Checks clients in and out of scheduled appointments, including scheduling any return or follow-up appointments as needed and scheduling any referrals. Verifies and updates demographic, billing, and third- party coverage information as needed. Collects client paperwork as needed. Calls to remind clients of appointments. Initiates procedures to locate missing information prior to the clients visit. Scans documents from clients/providers, and file in appropriate folders/charts. Promptly triages emergency telephone calls based on office protocol. Collects office visit fees and prior balances. May assist with billing and/or direct client to appropriate billing personnel. Keep front and back areas tidy and orderly Uses discretion while working with sensitive information. Keeping a clean and calm reception area. Faxing, scanning, filing, and mailing documentation. Comforting distressed clients - this may range from simply fixing any appointment issues that may arise, through to being the voice of comfort during times of extreme stress and emergency.
