SUMMARY :
Easterseals of Northeast Ohio is looking for an energetic Front Desk Coordinator to work 20-29 hours per week. No evenings or weekends! The right candidate for this position will be required, but not limited to:CORE VALUES

Responsible for supporting the practice's mission, vision, and values by serving as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. The Centralized Scheduler manages scheduling, patient intake, insurance verification, and administrative processes to ensure efficient daily operations and a positive patient experience.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Oversee and manage scheduling, including appointment creation, confirmation calls, rescheduling, and cancellations for various departments. Complete patient intake procedures, including collection and review of demographic information, consent forms, and required documentation. Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before appointments, including obtaining authorizations and referrals as required. Ensure accurate data entry of client information into the electronic health record system. Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances at the time of service and provide receipts. Answer incoming phone calls professionally and courteously and route messages appropriately. Greet and check in clients promptly while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely communication. Address patient questions regarding appointments, billing inquiries, and office policies within the scope of the role. Monitor and maintain front desk supplies and notify management when inventory is low. Assist with scanning, faxing, copying, and other clerical duties as needed. Assist with data collection and reporting for various departments. Ensure the reception and lobby areas remain clean, welcoming, and professional. Perform all other duties and tasks assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a medical office is preferred. Previous experience with scheduling systems and electronic medical records preferred. Knowledge of medical billing terminology and insurance verification processes preferred.CORE COMPETENCIES

General office equipment (computer, multi-line phone system, copier, scanner, fax machine). Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, scheduling software, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
