Job Description

About This Role The Receptionist fulfills the mission of the ECDC by overseeing the operations of the school's front office and helping in the classrooms when needed. The Receptionist assists the ECDC director, assistant director and staff by ensuring that the ECDC's front office and classrooms operate effectively and efficiently. The Receptionist has decision-making responsibilities within essential job functions, in keeping with ECDC policies. What You'll Do Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement. Designs and implements front office policies by establishing standards and procedures. Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results. Keeps Director informed of front office operations and any emerging issues among staff, parents and/or students. Maintains office staff by orienting and training newly hired front office employees. As needed, supports office needs by escorting students and visitors, covering the telephone and volunteer sign-in. Maintains current and accurate records according to ECDC policy. Communicates effectively within the school community. Meets staff development guidelines as set forth by the Director and by DHS. Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits Maintains a work schedule that maximizes availability to the ECDC, students and staff Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Experience with managing front office operations preferred but not required Experience supervising others preferred but not required Must pass all State and Diocesan background checks Nice To Haves Ability to work independently Ability to work well with others Skill in handling multiple tasks simultaneously Skill in organizing and relating information in an understandable format Skill in critical thinking and planning Skill in job-appropriate technology Benefits Paid Leave Professional Development
