Job Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Receptionist, where your enthusiasm and organizational skills will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals. In this vital role, you'll handle front desk operations, coordinate appointments, and ensure a smooth flow of communication between clients, veterinary staff, and external partners. Your energetic approach will help create a welcoming environment that fosters trust and confidence in our veterinary services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a compassionate team dedicated to animal health and client satisfaction. Duties Greet clients warmly and efficiently check in and check out patients, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure Schedule appointments, follow-up visits, and surgeries using veterinary software while managing calendar updates Handle medical collections accurately, including processing payments and insurance claims in compliance with DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) regulations and USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) guidelines Maintain detailed records of patient visits, treatments, and laboratory results with precision and confidentiality Assist with kennel management by coordinating animal care, feeding schedules, and animal husbandry tasks to support veterinary procedures Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions, treatment plans, and upcoming appointments Support veterinary staff during surgeries or critical care procedures by preparing supplies and assisting with animal restraint or catheterization when needed Qualifications Proven experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care environment with knowledge of veterinary terminology and medical-surgical procedures Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners Familiarity with veterinary software systems for scheduling, record keeping, and billing processes Experience with laboratory procedures related to companion animals or equine species is a plus Competence in using Microsoft Office applications for documentation and communication purposes Understanding of drug regulations (DEA) and USDA guidelines relevant to veterinary practice Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join us as a Veterinary Receptionist if you're passionate about animal welfare, thrive on providing excellent client service, and are eager to grow your career in a supportive veterinary setting. Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 37.0 - 40.0 per week
