Job Description

We are a well-established Portland firm in need of a reliable and proactive receptionist. Our firm specializes in landlord/tenant law, personal injury, condominium development, family law, estate planning/probate and other areas of law. We are looking for candidates who possess the following skills:
  • Experience as a receptionist is a plus
  • Friendly and upbeat attitude
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using various other office equipment and multi-lined phones
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Willingness to be flexible and help with various tasks
  • High school degree or equivalent Job Duties The receptionist's job duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Greeting clients and communicating with our staff to meet client needs
  • Answering multi-lined phone and directing calls as needed
  • Keeping track of our daily schedule, including client appointments
  • Communicating with our attorneys when clients have arrived and providing them with the proper paperwork
  • Stocking and ordering of forms and supplies
  • Pick-up and delivery of mail and packages. Must have valid driver's license and reliable car
  • Distributing mail and any packages delivered to the appropriate employee
  • Cleaning after client meetings and some other light cleaning
  • Back-up for firm file clerk
  • Supporting the office administrator as and when needed
  • Various administrative tasks/projects on as-needed basis Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter.
