Medical Receptionist/Front Desk/PT Aide

Physical Therapy Aide and reception help wanted for a small outpatient orthopedic practice in Northeast Portland. We are a small clinic that values excellent customer service and working closely with our patients. This position is approximately 15-20 hours per week. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, multitasking and time management. Office help involves tasks such as answering phones, scheduling patients, verifying insurance benefits and completing prior authorizations. Aide work includes assisting therapists in setting patients up on heat/ice, starting patients with exercises, cleaning treatment rooms/gym, and doing laundry. Prior experience is preferred.

Pleasant phone manner Knowledge of insurance/health care literacy Attention to detail and accuracy Good judgement and decision-making Maintain confidentiality and HIPPA compliance Effective problem solving and the ability to take initiative Time management Communicate with billing department Communicate with Physical Therapists throughout the day Work independently with minimal supervision Ability to relate effectively with patients, guests and general public. Strong preference will be given to applicants that have previous experience in a healthcare office setting. We are a small and friendly team of therapists who enjoy working with our patients.
