Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday Job Description Integrated Mind & MedRx Management, Inc. is a small, growing healthcare practice operated by a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Our practice provides psychiatric medication management, primary care services, physical examinations and other outpatient healthcare services. We are seeking a dependable, friendly and organized Medical Receptionist/Front Desk Assistant to support daily office operations. The primary responsibilities include answering telephone calls, scheduling patient appointments, assisting with administrative tasks and providing front-desk support. Candidates with previous medical receptionist or medical assistant experience are preferred but not required. We are willing to provide on-the-job training, including training in taking vital signs and assisting with basic clinical tasks. Primary Job Duties

Answer incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries and direct calls as appropriate.

Schedule, confirm and manage patient appointments.

Assist with patient check-in and check-out.

Maintain patient records and assist with administrative paperwork.

Assist with medication prior authorizations and insurance-related paperwork.

Communicate with pharmacies, insurance companies and healthcare providers as needed.

Collect copayments and process patient payments.

Assist with basic office organization and daily administrative operations.

Receive on-the-job training to measure vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature and weight.

Assist the CRNP with basic patient preparation and rooming as needed.

Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Previous medical receptionist or medical assistant experience preferred.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Basic computer skills and the ability to learn electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a small healthcare team.

Dependable, punctual and professional.

Willingness to learn basic clinical skills through on-the-job training.

Compensation and Schedule:

Hourly pay $18.00, 30-32 hours weekly. Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Satursday until 1pm. Training and Advancement On-the-job training will be provided for candidates who do not have previous medical experience. Training will include office procedures, appointment scheduling, insurance prior authorizations, EMR use and taking basic vital signs.
