Job Description

- We are seeking a dedicated and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our team.
- Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Manage incoming phone calls with proper phone etiquette, directing calls as necessary.
- Schedule appointments for patients, ensuring accurate medical scheduling.
- Verify patient insurance information and assist with insurance verification processes with our verification team.
- Maintain organized documentation by reviewing and updating patient records as needed.
- Handle office management tasks including managing supplies and maintaining a clean reception area by reporting them to your supervisor.
- Provide support to clinical staff as required, facilitating smooth communication between patients and medical and dental providers.
- Utilize Carestream WINOMS or similar software for patient management and scheduling tasks.
- Requirements
- Previous experience in a medical or dental office preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with patients and staff.
- Proficient in office management practices, including documentation review and scheduling.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy environment.
- Familiarity with medical and dental terminology is an asset but not mandatory.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
