Job Description
Position Summary Real Disposal Environmental Services LLC is seeking a dependable, professional, and organized Office Receptionist to support the daily operations of our office. This position serves as a primary point of contact for customers, vendors, drivers, and employees and plays an important role in providing excellent customer service and keeping office operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate is friendly and professional, comfortable handling a busy phone line, able to multitask, and capable of accurately completing administrative and customer service responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Job Responsibilities Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner. Assist customers with general questions regarding services, schedules, billing, account balances, and other routine account inquiries. Take detailed messages and ensure information is directed to the appropriate employee or department. Greet and assist customers, vendors, employees, and visitors entering the office. Receive and process customer payments as assigned. Assist with entering and updating customer account information. Perform general data entry and maintain accurate records. Assist with filing, scanning, copying, emailing, and organizing office documents. Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries. Prepare outgoing correspondence and mail as needed. Assist office staff with invoices, tickets, customer paperwork, and other administrative documents. Communicate customer service requests, missed pickups, container requests, and other service-related information to the appropriate personnel. Maintain a clean and organized reception and office area. Protect confidential customer, employee, and company information. Assist management and other office staff with additional administrative duties as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous receptionist, administrative, office, or customer service experience preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills. Professional and courteous phone manner. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a busy office environment. Dependable, punctual, and able to work well independently and as part of a team. Comfortable working with computers, email, and standard office equipment. Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, preferred. Ability to learn company billing, customer management, and operational software. Preferred Skills Previous experience in the waste, transportation, trucking, service, or similar industry is a plus. Experience handling customer billing or account questions. Experience accepting and recording customer payments. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain professional when assisting customers with complaints or service issues. Work Environment This is an office-based position within an active waste and transportation operation. The receptionist regularly communicates with customers, drivers, vendors, management, and other employees throughout the workday.
