Job Description

Serves as a receptionist, handling clerical tasks and maintaining significant public interaction. Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to quality assurance, safety, environment, infection control, and accreditation standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage incoming telephone calls and route them appropriately. Accurately record and distribute messages for hospital staff. Organize and distribute mail to designated slots. Welcome visitors, assess their needs, and provide appropriate direction. Address inquiries in compliance with hospital policies on patient and proprietary information release. Perform admissions and pre-screening of patients, ensuring the accuracy of information. Prepare and complete patient consent forms, verify health insurance coverage, and scan cards into electronic medical records (EMR). Update patient EMR for step-downs, transfers, and program changes. Execute other assigned duties.
Knowledge and Job Skills:
Proper and efficient operation of switchboard and paging equipment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of Hospital departments and their function. Knowledge of Hospital policies governing the release of patient and proprietary information.
Position Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma or recognized equivalent (GED) required.
Experience:
One-year experience in a customer service position required. Hospital experience preferred. Please take note to the schedule below: Weekend 8:30-4:30PM
