Job Description

Front Desk Associate The Front Desk Associate is the first point of contact for visitors at our welcome desk. This role is crucial in setting the tone for our guests' experience. This role is perfect for someone who loves interacting with people and has a passion for travel and tourism. The Front Desk Associate plays a key role in ensuring that all guests have a memorable and enjoyable visit to our tourism welcome center.
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Guest Relations:
Greet all guests in a friendly and professional manner. Provide information about local attractions, events, and services. 2.
Communication:
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries via email. Maintain clear and professional communication with all guests and staff. 3.
Administrative Duties:
Manage sales and cash flow procedures, process payments, and maintain accurate records of all transactions. 4.
Problem-Solving:
Address guest concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner. Follow-up with management when major issues arise. 5.
Teamwork:
Work closely with other staff members to ensure a seamless guest experience. 6.
Maintain brochure and exhibit displays:
This is to ensure visual presentation standards by ensuring that each member's brochure is displayed, and areas are clean and tidy. 7. Collect guest data : Collect data in a variety of ways and prepare reports as directed. This includes keeping count of the number of visitors and encouraging visitors to provide additional data by questioning them. 8.
Assist Staff with projects:
Assist with data entry, letters, filing, assembling welcome bags for conference attendees, or other assignments as directed.
Qualifications:
1. Excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor. 2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 3. Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations calmly. 4. Knowledge of the local area and attractions is a plus. 5. Proficiency in using computer systems and computer programs, such as: backend website changes and updates, email proficiency, knowledge of working with a point of sales system, and proficiency with using web browsers. 6. Must be able to lift more than 40 pounds without accommodation. 7. Must be available to work on Holidays and weekends.
Pay:
$15.00 per hour
