Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Optical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, managing front desk operations with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your energetic approach will ensure smooth clinic flow, accurate appointment scheduling, and efficient handling of patient inquiries. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression Verify patient insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks and verifications Collect and process payments, including co-pays and outstanding balances Handle multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently Assist with patient intake procedures, including gathering medical history and updating demographic information Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies at all times Perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing medical records. Perform optical technician tasks such as pre testing, contact lens fittings ect.
