Job Description
Job Summary Love working with people and dogs? Wyatts Bed & Biscuit is looking for a friendly, dependable full-time or part-time Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our kennel. You'll greet clients, check dogs in and out, answer phones, schedule appointments, and support our back kennel staff in a fast-paced environment. If you're organized, enjoy multitasking, love dogs, and have good customer service skills we would love to have you join our team! Kennel Receptionist
- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material
- Receive and place calls to clients for the purpose of scheduling or retrieving records.
- Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner.
- Maintain proper documentation of client and pet records. Referral documentation, previous medical history received, enter, and file.
- Assist all clients by providing necessary instructions, information and invoices, and schedule all future appointments.
- Manage the financial needs of the kennel by maintaining accurate balances through collection of client transactions, following all cash and credit card handling procedures, and following proper opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain a positive attitude in all interactions with clients, pets and other teammates.
- Demonstrate ability to show empathy toward clients and treat pets with compassion and respect.
- Helping back kennel with intake and departures of dogs
Requirements:
- Utilizing standard office/business equipment.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
- Organizational skills.
- Critical thinking
- Understanding logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, good judgment and ability to manage stressful situations.
- Basic dog handling experience
- MUST enjoy working with both animals and people.
- MUST have receptionist experience
- MUST have reliable transportation
Pay:
$13.00- $16.
