Job Description
Join Our Growing Veterinary Team! We are a busy, growing animal hospital seeking a full-time, permanent Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and professional individual who is passionate about providing exceptional client service and quality care for our patients. Position Overview The ideal candidate enjoys working with both people and animals and is comfortable in a fast-paced veterinary environment. This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask while maintaining a welcoming and professional presence. This is a full-time, permanent position consisting of 8+hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with one weekday off each week . Our hospital is closed on weekends, allowing our team to enjoy a consistent schedule and a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities Schedule and coordinate client appointments efficiently and accurately Answer, screen, and direct telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner Welcome clients and assist with patient check-in and check-out Provide friendly, compassionate customer service to clients and their pets Perform general clerical, administrative, and front-desk duties Maintain accurate information and organized records Help keep the reception area organized, clean, and welcoming Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to support smooth daily hospital operations Qualifications & Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong customer service skills and a professional, compassionate demeanor Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn new software Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team Previous veterinary or animal hospital experience is preferred but not required We are happy to train the right candidate who demonstrates a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine desire to learn Why Join Our Team?
